What is a gastropub?
The gastropub concept was born in London, England and has since swept through the U.S.A. With gastropubs popping up in neighborhoods all over the world; Penny Lane Entertainment knew it was time to introduce Calgary to its first true gastropub.
The gastropub is a culinary revolution where the typical pub grub is elevated to refined dining heights. Perfect for lunch, dinner and of course, an after-work drink; SPUR is not stricltly a bar and is not strictly a restaurant. SPUR is a hybrid of both. It offers a high quality menu and a welcoming atmosphere that is stylish with a western accent. Simply put; SPUR will be an inviting place for everyone and every occasion where the food is as important as the drink.

We especially would like to hear from you if your party is over 8 guests and/or you are celebrating something special.
Please note that due to the popularity of our true downtown Calgary Happy Hour we cannot take reservations between 4-7 PM on Thursdays and Fridays.
